St Ignatius School

customtheme_logoIn this section you can find out about St Ignatius School, the Catholic primary school for both Mother of Perpetual Help and St Ignatius parishes.

Our Mission Statement

St Ignatius School, in partnership with parents and within a caring and supportive Catholic environment, is committed to quality education and achievement where the focus is on the development of the whole child, guiding each child on their faith journey, and helping them to grow up as caring and contributing members of the community.

Our School Family Goal

At St Ignatius School we will be:

Respectful
I am respectful. I treat others and my self as we deserve to be treated. I show courtesy to everyone. I learn from the wisdom of my elders.
Responsible
I am responsible. I give my best to all that I do and keep my agreements. I learn from my mistakes. I am willing to make amends.
Generous
I am generous. I look for opportunities to give a d to share. There is plenty of time for thoughtfulness. I give freely, fully, and joyfully.
Happy
I am thankful for the happiness I feel inside. I enjoy my work and play. I appreciate the gifts this day holds for me.

Our Intentions

To provide a warm, caring, supportive and stimulating Catholic environment in which all children throughout their learning journey develop positive attitudes about school life

To provide a safe, secure physical and emotional environment to enable each child to develop positive self-image and belief in him/herself as a learner

To recognise that each child’s brain is as ‘unique as a set of fingerprints’ and each child will therefore learn at their own pace and in the own time

To teach children the key elements of ‘brain care’ – sleep, exercise, water and nutrition

To provide lots of opportunities for play and exploration through which children will learn

To teach critical and creative thinking skills which will enable children to problem solve independently

To provide quality literacy and numeracy instruction
